From 50,000 mini donuts to fried chicken biscuits,

Mountain Fair competition goers can stay up for a smorgasbord of meal offerings this weekend, from breakfast to dessert.

Now in its forty-eighth 12 months, the Carbondale tradition that kicked off Friday and is going via Sunday anticipates 20,000 attendees.

One of this year’s food companies — Aspen Mini Donuts — plans to promote 50,000 of its mini sweet treats over the weekend path.

“The most popular donut that we make is cinnamon sugar,” Aspen Mini Donuts co-proprietor Kitti Sanderson said of the group favorite. “We make a domestic-brewed iced coffee that is noticeably new; we just launched that this week and we are clearly searching forward to setting out plenty of cinnamon sugar donuts and iced espresso this weekend.”
